Slowing Down with the Tribe: Why Our Members’ Breakfast Matters

At OfficeTribe, we’re big believers that work shouldn’t just be about productivity it should also be about people. That’s exactly why our members’ breakfasts have become such an important part of what we do.

In a world where everyone is rushing from one thing to the next, taking the time to slow down even for half an hour can make a real difference. Our breakfasts are a chance to step away from screens, grab a coffee, and properly catch up. Conversations that might never happen during a busy workday suddenly flow easily, and that’s where the real value of community shows itself.

There’s something simple but powerful about starting the day together. Whether it’s sharing ideas, swapping recommendations, or just having a chat, these moments help build the kind of connections that make OfficeTribe more than just a place to work.

Supporting Local, Always

A big part of our breakfasts is supporting local businesses. Tunbridge Wells and the wider Kent area are full of incredible independent makers, and we love bringing their work into our spaces.

One of our absolute favourites has to be Liz Reid Bakes.

If you’ve tried her baking before you’ll already know this is proper, comforting food made with real care. We’ve had everything from her pastries to pies, and every time it’s been exceptional. Most recently, her hot cross buns were the highlight of our Easter breakfast, soft, perfectly spiced, and (unsurprisingly) gone very quickly.

Liz’s journey, from her time at The Bakehouse in Tonbridge to building her own business supplying markets across Kent, is exactly the kind of local story we love to support. There’s a real authenticity to what she does, and it shows in every bite.

More Than Just Breakfast

What might seem like a small thing, a coffee, a pastry, a quick chat actually plays a big role in shaping the atmosphere at OfficeTribe. It’s about creating space to pause, connect, and enjoy where you are.

Because ultimately, that’s what we’re building here: not just a workspace, but a community.

And sometimes, all it takes is a really good hot cross bun to bring people together!
