Have a project in mind? Something you’ve always wanted to do, or just had an idea you’d like to explore a bit further. Come and meet an architect for an informal chat.

There will be three architectural practices at OfficeTribe next Wednesday to discuss any upcoming projects or ideas, covering a range of sectors and giving free initial advice.

Operating from 10am until 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break between 1pm and 2pm. Just drop in, or book a slot with us in advance.

 A bit about the architects:

 Studio Sett

Studio Sett are a small, energetic, RIBA Chartered architectural practice based on Chapel Place in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. The practice was formed of a desire to bring no-nonsense, approachable, and high-quality architectural services to clients. They’re passionate that excellence can be delivered in the South East, without needing to employ a London based firm.

Their expertise is in designing and delivering residential extensions, improvements, and refurbishments. Particular focus is placed on design excellence, controlling the budget, and working with the end user. They have a wide range of experience, from the super-prime townhouses of central London to small extensions in the countryside.

 Supervene Architects

Supervene Architects is an independent architectural firm with a high level of technical expertise, working on projects from large scale masterplans, to intricate delivery projects on individual plots. We challenge tradition for a better future. Creatively. Technically. Materially. Not different for its own sake – but for the benefit of our clients, collaborators and planet.

We bring creative thought and analytical insight to real world challenges. We are based in the UK and are currently working on a number of national masterplans, as well as delivering several individual building plots whilst partnering with local Architectural practices.

We believe in collaboration, clear communication and lead professional teams seeking a solid and constructive design ethos across the disciplines.

 FJR Studio

FJR Studio is an architecture and design practice founded by Fred Renton in Tunbridge Wells in 2017. Prior to this, Fred worked for some of London's major architectural firms over the last 20 years on a variety of award-winning projects. Fred is a RIBA Chartered Architect.

The studio’s main focus is high-end private residential projects and the design process is led by understanding and exploring in detail the client’s brief, aspirations and budget.

Natural light, local materials, modern design, sustainability, texture and a sense of place and context are key themes of the studio’s design ethos. These themes often run throughout a project from the very early concept and feasibility sketches, through the planning process, the scheme design, the detail design and ultimately the finished constructed building itself.

Fred's design background is based on the creative process and a key part of the studio is the ability to express the clarity of the design idea and concept through clean, sharp and legible drawings. The studio prides itself in turning these initial design ideas and sketches into a built reality by way of a rigorous design process. This may be a one-off house in a sensitive context to the complete re-modelling of a town house creating an individual and bespoke home for clients.
